Colors in the Landscape

Yellow is a must for contrast in the garden. This is a "Gold Mop" false cypress. One of my favorites for sure.



Another sure winner is of course the Japanese Maple. Burgundy/Crimson are the better color choices for contrast in my opinion.



This is a dissectum "Crimson Queen" variety that I have on my deck behind the house. It always looks great in the Spring but it got badly "burned" when I went on vacation last year in June so I just cut it back and sealed the cut. Now it has more character as long as I keep it watered because there is not much to cut back at this point if the top dies out again.
